Privacy &
cookies

The short version: we measure how people find us so we can spend our time where it helps. We don’t sell your data, and the site works perfectly well if you decline.

01

Who we are

M-Body Sports Therapy is a freelance sports therapy practice based in Portishead, BS20, operating from Portishead Chiropractic Clinic and F2 Functional Fitness. We are the data controller for the information described on this page.

For any question about your data, or to ask us to delete it, email Mbodysportstherapy@gmail.com or call 07495 691502.

02

Cookies on this website

This website sets no cookies at all until you choose to accept them. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, we receive only anonymous, aggregated counts of page views — no cookie is stored on your device and nothing identifies you or links one visit to another.

If you accept, we use:

  • Google Analytics 4 — measures which pages people read and which routes lead to a booking, so we can improve the site. Google acts as our processor. IP addresses are anonymised and we have disabled advertising features.
  • Meta Pixel — only active if we are running Instagram or Facebook advertising, to measure whether those adverts lead to bookings.
  • A record of your choice — we store your accept-or-decline decision in your browser so we do not ask again on every page. This is necessary to honour your choice and is kept regardless of what you decide.
03

How we know where you found us

When you follow a link to us from Instagram, a Google Maps listing, or a search result, we record which of those it was and attach that label to your booking. This tells us which channels are worth our time. It records the channel only — never who you are, and it is never sold or shared for advertising.

04

Booking and treatment records

Appointments are handled by Calendly. The booking calendar is shown on this website, but it is supplied by Calendly, which sets its own cookies within it and shows its own cookie notice. The name, email address, and any details you type into the calendar are held by Calendly as our processor, under its own privacy policy.

Because the calendar is what you came to use, it loads whether or not you accept our analytics cookies — declining ours does not stop you booking.

Clinical notes taken during treatment are health data (a “special category” under UK GDPR). We hold them for the retention period required by our professional body and insurer, we keep them confidential, and we do not use them for marketing.

05

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or erase it, or object to how we use it. We will respond within one month and there is no charge.

Analytics cookies are used on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the button below. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
